m278 Radiator Removal - HELP?!

TGIF!

Yes I have a c207 (coupe), but this subforum seems more active...

Through an unfortunate event, my radiator was recently damaged and needs replaced. I have removed the fan, disconnected all coolant hoses, removed top plate...and am stuck by the #$%#$ A/C line on the driver side (US). Is there ANY way to get around disconnecting the refrigerant line to replace radiator?! I saw one video where someone claimed success doing this, but I have yet to be so lucky...perhaps due to being a coupe, not sure? If line must be disconnected, any tips on safe way to do this without professional refrigerant equipment?!

Edit -> Successfully removed radiator without disconnecting refrigerant lines...though I may have slightly altered the shape of said line's flared metal piece surrounding transition to rubber insulation.

dude it sucks and yes there is a way you're going to remove the bracket and MOVE the lines but not disconnect them for future reference to anybody who reads this.

No the E550 sedan and S550 suck too, it's a 3 hour job cuz of the trans lines, AC, and removing the fan and center support bracket

WELP. Finished the entire engine repair job (cam adjuster, chain tensioner, 125 oil leaks) and yet I am stuck at: new radiator installation!

I simply cannot see how I can install without disconnecting the lower refrigerant line from condenser. IS THERE A WAY?! I have the trans cooler disconnected as well as replacing it too...however I cannot install radiator from bottom either it seems

How much stuff do you still have hooked up down there? I haven't done it on a coupe truthfully and its occuring to me that the M278's are shoehorned into what is a C Class shape. Usually we just leave the lines detached and push the stuff out of the way. We did the S550 and E550 this way and they're two different engines.

I finally, barely got it stuck in there. Took some coaxing around the lower a/c refrigerant line, and had to disconnect the oil lines again. I'm down to a thermostat housing o-ring question and I will be filling with fluids and test starting!

Anyone recall where the supplied O-ring goes? There was a pre-installed one on the thermostat end, and the radiator hose has its own smaller one on the other end...worried I am missing something though
