Do you know if this code was obtained using an MB specific scanner? or just a generic scanner, i.e. generic ODB2 code ?
What are the symptoms, issues of the car?

Good to know.
If you can get it scanned with a scanner that can read MB modules, there may be more specific information.
Just be careful, if there is a warning light, there is an issue. You may not "feel it" yet, but something is happening; otherwise, what is the point of the warning light.
These cars are great until the fail, and then the problems.

Well we know a P code means something with the powertrain. the second number (1) means a manufacturer specific code and the rest doesn't really count since you didn't pull the code with an MB specific scanner.
Invest some $ in a good MB scanner, it makes your ownership much less frustrating.
