Transmission Mount

I finally got around to replacing it..

amazing difference felt right away, mainly smoother shifts.

$25 part and 15min to replace 16mm and 13mm sockets

2012 W212 E350 308k km

Wonder if it should be part of the transmission service, i.e oil, filter, mount w/o checking. Pennies compared to the service

I bought the oil service kit, but thats on the list..

With the mount as bad as it was, the shifts were clunky especially 1-2, in extreme cold when diesel is a little grumpy.

Jesus....took you 308,000 KM to replace that

It is a 20,000KM consumeable for me as I can feel when it is pass its prime behaviour.
So cheap and so easy to replace and it is actually very short lived, the comfy life I mean.

Good photos, thank you.
Unloaded state it is already that low (middle part ), if with tranny weight on it, I am sure the middle part is already resting at bottom, hence that clunky noise you get.
If you have not done your engine mounts, please do replace them too. Also replace your exhaust rubber hangers, my car has 4 of them.

Yup should replace the engine mounts although engine mounts is way harder to get to should still do it as it is overdue at OP's mileage I think.
