Power tailgate on wagon now acting like it's a non automatic model???
Ok so knuckle head was playing around with the scan tool and found a menu to test tailgates and trunks actuation and other functions, some how I've now managed to disable the automated tail gate and it's just a manually opened and closed system, I've spent ages with the scanner trying to reactivate the auto function!!
Does anyone know how to reactivate this function please?

loss of tail gate
OMG Now your car has lost rear automatic tailgate fonction. ![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
You know your 2-way scanner better than I... disabling features is not a standard function - I do not believe gate is "disabled" per say,. busted may be, so let go ahead and SCAN THE CAR in the "normal way"
- Give us the list of what modules are coded to be active.... hopefully, tail gate will respond.
- Other then that...:
A visual FUSE check in your Rear SAM fuse block.

deNORMALIZED system ...
ok, that special someone playing with your scanner managed to denormalize the existing gate positions.
Now the gate controller needs to re-learn the gate positions. Do that training procedure through the screen captured in OP.
Beyond that be conservative with unknown procedures.
Stay clear away from that powerful gate until you have tested its safety motion sensing is back in operation!
🤞
