E550 engine mount part numbers
Hey everyone, I'm a bit confused with the oem options for motor mounts for my 2011 m273 e550. I pulled the pair from the car and they both have the A 204 240 10 17 part number. I see that this part number has been replaced over the years but now they seem to be side specific. 2042404417 is for front left and 2072400417 is for the right. What sense does this make? Are they really side specific now? FCP euro still has the original 2042401017 on their site but now i'm curious if I should order the updated versions from the dealer.

Such parts should be bought only from suppliers who check the fitment with your VIN.

For anyone looking in the future, apparently it’s two of the 204240441764 mounts. What a pain to replace though. Probably took about 8 hours total. I ended up lowering the front subframe about an inch to get the extra clearance I needed.

Given that it'll be easier to source these from overseas (I'm in Australia) I need to make sure I get the correct ones.
Is the part number (204240441764) you used suit the NON-4matic version? I have the rear wheel drive sedan, so already I think it's a little easier to fit new mounts compared to the 4matic cars.
