that would be entirely dependent on the spring rate used and the smoothness of the roads you drive. me, I want the car RAISED for more comfort on bad roads and will stick with the 17" wheels, actually, I wish I could use 16" wheels but they won't clear the brakes on the E350 4matic.
btw, isn't a CLS 550 a W218 ? or is this for some other car not mentioned in your profile or post ? This is the W212 E class section of this forum, these cars come with 17 or 18" wheels, and 19" are about as extreme as would fit
