Thank you guys! i was really posting so others could know that apparently the deal has been improved upon, the original letter I received was for 50% and 40% I believe, so something changed, My center console, dash and upper wood panels on the front doors of my '13 are just kind of faded so far,

Sure, the letter I posted above contains the E-mail address, website and toll free number, you can go to the website and file a claim

Yes, before last September for both cars, only got 75% repair coverage on my '12 in the second letter, first letter on the '12 was 40% originally. Maybe call the toll-free number and see if they can get you in? Since you are not in the class action, you could retain an attorney and sue them, I bet they would settle with a minimum attorney fee past the initial filing if you so chose?
So how much are dealers charging? Can we choose other than walnut?
I was told no on the change, your dealer may be different? I have heard some exorbitant numbers, but I was not given one as mine is at 100% coverage, I won't do my '12 until next year even though they said they'd cover that one at 75%, they may not cover it as my car has 30k miles and is garaged at home and work. The fading in that one is almost imperceptible.
Got a phone call today stating the entire kit is no longer available. But individual pieces are.
So, to do the entire interior pieces my cost would come out to just under $1800. That's double the original cost. To do just the faded pieces came out to about $800. Which is the long center piece dash and the center console, 3 pieces.
Anyways, if someone thinks I or we are being scammed we can forward this MB USA.
I just received a letter today on my faded trim, it states the faded wood will be replaced at 100% of cost on my '13 and at 75% of cost on my '12 WOW!
How does one get this. Mine has faded to white in the front , rear doors still look okay. If you close the cup holder, it's obvious they are two different colors. 2014 E350

Scroll up to post #4, call and find out if you can get in, the deadline was last September I believe, you can also Sue Mercedes directly and they might approve your claim as you're not in the class action settlement
Yeah, I bought the car after the deadline, didn't know about suit until doing a search on replacing it. This fall, I'm going to pull a piece, or try and find a faded piece for sale and experiment on refinishing it.

Can someone post a photo of what the faded wood looks like? The burl walnut wood trim on my car still has its colors but I have a 2016... one of the last S212 built. So maybe the fading hasn't started or not yet noticeable.

Here is my 2016 front dash after just 2 years in the sun.... Don't be fooled to think the last year does not have the fading problem, as it clearly does.
I contacted my local dealer and he said he'd get back to me on a percentage (and final cost) for just the center strip (which I asked about). He has not called back, grrr! So did this cost you anything? How much did MB cover?
If anyone is interested, I have a faded "core" set of pre-facelift (in the US, up through 2013) wood pieces (faded, but undamaged, maybe a fastener or two missing, that's all) that I would sell cheap compared to eBay prices to someone who wants to try their hand at wrapping, without removing all the trim from their car first.
Believe me, having one set not installed at hand makes removal of the installed set easier/safer (even if you have WIS) because you can see where the fasteners are right in front of you.
Don't think you can just "wrap" this, it would take the wrap and an installation kit with a heat gun, tools, etc. as those sold on eBay. I was planning to do this myself with the set that I removed but I have enough "projects". You might even have a wrapping place do this for you and do the actual install yourself.

Amazing news completely unrelated to my above post: I was one of the (probably few) people who bought trim and replaced it themselves. I documented it thoroughly: my PayPal payment, the eBay auction for the parts that I won (from someone who sold the car before they had an indy replace it), pictures of the original MB parts box (with my old trim in it), reference to posts (and photos) on this website, etc. I never brought my car to the dealer because after reading some posts here with the experience of others I knew that I would hear nothing but laughter about "quality" or "warranty" claims.
I hadn't heard anything and I had assumed that I would get diddly squat. Today, the best thing ever. Unexpected money arriving to your home and a class action lawsuit check of over a dollar. Life does not get much better than that these days. Actually, I'm guessing that it came to 75% of what I paid for the parts, which is very fair in my opinion. I had to break my butt to replace the parts, but it was worth it! Thanks MB!
