keyless or not....
The short answer is why not?
The long answer is not easy even for a rare expert skilled at adding "missing features".
There are half a dozen keyfob antennas scattered around W212 chassis besides the door handles, you'll need to add the missing keyless controller.
The EIS key holder is the master module of Benz anti-theft security. Go ahead and brake that, then you'll need a busy licensed locksmith to hack it.
Fancy Keyless is convenient but the simplicity of a reliable key is a no brainer. Instead of starting with most difficult project, I would upgrade the front seats to premium options from a local junk-yard.
This will let you learn how to "code MB modules" a virtuous road not so much traveled.
🤞

Modifying systems is not easy but if you really like challenges there are videos that can help ya. Example by AmRd.... keep in mind he is a vested MB wizard.
