clearing dpf dirt

Hi,

Please excuse my lack of knowledge here on this topic. i have had issues with my w212 dpf and it was turned off and taken off the engines computer (i think is the right way of describing) and the insides removed so it will no longer clog up. i do still have soot building up on the exhausts I have been told I still need to regenerate it (if this makes sense) by revving the engine while driving as i am doing a lot of short journeys. can anyone help direct me how i can rev the engine while driving in an automatic car.

thanks
G

120 mph for a few minutes ought to do it.
It's a diesel. You removed the soot filter and now you're surprised that you have soot building up on the exhaust tips? What am I missing here?

You removed the DPF and your car doesnt have a CAT, hopefully you removed the SCR as well since that will clog up with no DPF. Assume your just commenting on the soot from your tailpipe, wash it off. A better tune shouldnt have much soot and would take a couple months to get any soot buildup around tailpipes. Not sure how good your tuner is.

Enjoy not worrying about crap failing on ya and wash your car once in a while.

Bluetec do have CAT, who is part of DPF unit.
SCR is independent system, so it is different story if applies.
Since you deleted DPF, you will have soot accumulating on the rear of the vehicle. This is normal thing.
I did have DPF delete on my W212 Bluetec and being white car, having soot on the rear of it was annoying.
I reversed the process with AEM and now with working DPF have clean car and clean lungs.

"living with it" might get harder and harder.
Sounds like you are in country, where they don't do smog, but more and more agencies are after illegal modifications. This is 1 of the latest.
