2011 E550 4Matic Airmatic to standard shock and strut (non-coilover)
Again sorry for the torrent of threads on this topic.
Curious if anyone has replaced their airmatic with standard shocks and struts?
Kits like these keep popping up in my search; if no one has tried it, I may be the first to report in on why they will or won't fit.
There are a number of online stores listing Bilstein B4's and B6's as compatible with the 2011 E550 WITH 4Matic.
My guess is that the online stores listing the standard shock and struts as not compatible do so under the assumption that you're looking to retain your stock air system.
I wouldn't be surprised if the parts don't fit, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they do and I'm excited to see if they do.
