Unhappy 2018 E300 Sunroof tilts open on its own

I am getting frustrated with my car along with many other things. The one that is bothering me now is the sun roof keeps tilting open on its own. Any ideas ? I have watch a video where you opne and hold for 5 sec , close and hold for 5 , and then the same thing with tilt. No go for that trick.

Unexplained electrical happenings on modern German cars are often solved by replacing the batteries. A 2018 car can have a battery coming up on 7 years since the battery was produced - past time to replace

Replace the main battery and aux battery/capacitor.

The last time my panoroof auto close on its own ( not open ) was when I was doing pano frame tightening and I never disconnected the battery and removed the pano roof control buttons ( share with reading light ).
At that point in time the pano was fully open, before the auto closed occured.

So there is a possibility that power loss to controller or data loss, could be doing this auto open or close.

humidity self-control...

These great cars feature some autonomous logic.
One is closing the roof if rain sensor says so... another one is managed humidity condensation.

windshield condensation sensor... solderless! 🙄

> Lets try to do some testing to understand this software logic :

Keep you windows slightly open to vent any condensation out. We try to do the job sunroof may be trying to do.

Leave the sunroof alone in closed resting position. Closed position should satisfy the sleep logic.

Play with HVAC settings to find any effect on sunroof - Use no AirCon to keep Evsp dry. Heat only.

What happens if you have sunroof already tilted - Does it flip to a different position ?

> Use a scanner to read in the OCP Module that sunroof position is indead "normalized": Yes/No.

Sunroof not playing right may keep the logic awake.

> Old classics always on the table not far away:
  • poor solderless connections.
  • poor GND circuit.
