Do point out K-MAC ALIGN has been specializing in manufacturing uprated front and rear bushings to suit the entire Mercedes Benz range for the last 30 years (aftermarket automotive bushings since 1964).

FOR THE W212 4MATIC MODELS - Not only front replacement bushings for the ‘2’ Control arms and the 2 upper forward facing thrust arm bushes....

BUT ALSO UNIQUE EXTRA FEATURES:

UPRATED - With upper arm bushes Mono ball / Self aligning for extended bush life and improved brake and steering response.

PROVIDING - Also “Camber” & “Caster” adjustment (there is only basic Front & Rear Toe “directional” adjustment OEM) ! All to do with cost cutting and ever increasing speed of new car assembly lines.

ACCURATE ADJUSTMENT - Unique K-MAC patented design allows precise “single wrench” easily accessible adjustment. ULTIMATE - Direct on alignment rack “UNDER LOAD”.

FITTING - With K-MAC Fit without need for special tools (extraction tools included) AND NO TIME CONSUMING NEED FOR ARM REMOVAL !

ALONG WITH - Rear Suspension Camber (and “extra” Toe adjustment). Similar single wrench adjustment also fit without need for arm removal.

RESULT - Not only replacing the 4 front & rear highest wearing bushings but also (because of lack of OEM adjustment) resolving COSTLY, PREMATURE EDGE WEAR - now allowing to adjust tire contact angles / spread load more evenly !

Is there enough clearance to remove the ball joint end of the tension (front) control arm without removing the tie rod end?

Yes. I didn’t have to remove the tie rod when I did mine.
