E220 OM651 steering problem
I have a problem with my W212 OM651.
Upon cold start, steering works fine. I can turn steering wheel easily to the end and no sound can be heard.
After few minutes, sliping serpentine belt noise appears when turning the steering wheel.
I am not sure what I should do. I Already replaced a lot of stuff and now different mechanics give me different solutions to this problem.
Generator ar generator clutch is new, idler pulleys are new, belt and tensioner - new. Replaced 2 power steering pumps, couple of hoses that connect to power steering pump.
At this moment one mechanic recommends changing power steering pump once again, other says to change steering rack, other one says that steering rack has no affect on hydraulic oil preassure in the system which could cause belt slipping.
Any ideas what to look for?

test that all pulleys spin somewhat well with acceptable play... I expect everything will check out fine in your case (A/C compressor??)
Then suspect a mismatched belt length... inspect tensioner position indicator for clue of wrong length.
🤞
++++ Belt scenario...
For some reason you ended up with the wrong belt for your engine type/options. Perhaps inproperly installed but that is real basic fault.
Can you compare belts side by side or by a CONTINENTAL for your engine type. Knock off spares are just out to make a quick buck on your dime.
Where did you source these parts ? TRY PELICAN PARTS

one of the pulley is misaligned - It got installed with a rear spacer-washer missing.
Pardon me asking : IS THE PATH CORRECT ROUTING?
What current mileage... Water pump??
> List of known good:
Conti belt(s)
Tensioner
steering pump(s)
idler pulleys
compressor
Alrernator
Water pp??
Alignt??
