Headlight interchangeability

Bought halogen headlight instead of Xenon but want to go ahead and use halogen anyway. Notice 3 more plug pins in xenon than new halogen. Just wondering any issues to worry about. Damaged area not concerned about matching light intensity. thx

The two (xenon and halogen) are not interchangeable. Halogen is 12V and the light is generated by heating a coil of metal. Xenon is high voltage and light is generated by an arc of plasma. The bulbs , electrics, and headlamp geometries are all different. The conversion can be done but you need to do everything and tell the car's computer.

Someone else can fill in the blanks.

So I went ahead and installed anyway and everything works fine no problems. Light intesity between the two is noticeable but not that big a deal.
