2014 E350 4-Matic Radiator Drain

Unhappy 2014 E350 4-Matic Radiator Drain

Hello all,

While changing my radiator fan and thermostat, I went to drain the coolant and noticed the petcock leaking. It's closed and tightened all the way The image shows what it looks like.

After a while, the leak stops. When I open the coolant reservoir cap, the leak will start up again. When I squeeze any of the radiator hoses, it will start leaking and make a noise. There's a hole there or something.

What are my options? I reallyyyy don't want to replace the radiator because I JUST REPLACED IT.

You've just replaced your radiator and the new one is leaking already...
Get it warranted before you overheat the heads. The coolant circuit needs to hold pressure.

Are you familiar with JB-Weld automotive products... this may help out patch your leak.

Not sure on how its all built on the rads but that picture inside the square has 5 initial drill starts. Why is that. Does not look factory or aftermarket production. Did you get a used radiator? If its new bite the bullet and send it back asap and get a new one, not a previous buggered up return.

I had the radiator leaking so I decided to take it to a mechanic to get it fixed. The one time I take the car to a repair shop, smh. I put some JB-Weld in the meantime but I’m going to have an interesting talk with the mechanic.
