Just an FYI. After hunting for some cross bars I came across these Thule 7503 cross bars that fit our S212 Wagons and they’re pretty cheap because they’re last year’s model. They have been replaced by a more modular system that can cost upwards of $600+ just for the cross bars. I paid $220 for the pair. Our local sports basement had them on 50% off sale.
They can be found on eBay too.
They are low profile (almost flush with the rails) and with my Thule carrier box I can open the sunroof—which I heard was an issue with some cross bars.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like you got a great price! I see these bars come in 4 different sizes - S, M, L and XL. Which size fits the S212? What year is yours? Looks like the face lifted model? Mine is a 2016 E400.

The 7503 is only one size. The other sizes go by a different number, like 7502.
you will need 2 7503s since only one cross bar comes in a box.
I have them too and the main draw back is, you can't open up the moonroof so I took them off. They definitely look better than the OEM Mercedes ones though

You mean the "pano roof" with the large wide glass that lifts above the roof, correct? The OP's has a sunroof where the glass is narrower, and it does not raise as much if any.
