2014 E350 Thermostat Hose

Hey all,

i just replaced my thermostat in my 2014 E350 but the hose that is connected to the thermostat is leaking from the side. Is this a one time use screw or something?

Noooo... it must be a 50¢ O-Ring seal in there.

perhaps the screw drilling is a through hole... so leaking is guaranteed
You have to use sealant on the screw or thread locker to seal it.

Thank you for the response!

I didn’t put an O-ring seal. Where would it go? Behind the screw or the hose itself?

yeah, O-ring is on the pipe fitting.

Remove the screw to feel if this is a through hole... poke inside with a wire or small screw driver or take a phone camera picture...

The screw is fine. It’s the o-ring seal. By any chance, do you know the part number or the diameter of the o-ring that’s supposed to go here?
