Crankcase ventilation the OIL DRIP PAN, Left or Right turn for bolts ? Info is here

Gents,

I am now looking at the PCV system, the drip pan. The circular black plastic wheel.

I kept reminding myself when I watched Youtube, that this thing uses LEFT HAND BOLT.

I'll be damn , I read the WIS carefully between M272/M273 and M276.9 / M726.8 and things have changed !!!

No more the bolt is a Left Hand Turn for newer V6 M276. and V8 M278 and M157, which are all normal right hand turn.

I double check just in case MB forgotten to write this important data.
I tracked the bolt P/N and sure enough, they are different for LH and RH.

So please becareful, since our W212 has M272 and M273 engines too, while some of you may have M276 and M278 and M157.

Here is the data :

.

. Bolts P/N ending 3495 is a Let Hand Turn one. Same dimension diameter 6mm and 30mm long.

.

Bolts P/N ending with 0281 is a normal Right Hand Turn.

.

Oky doky, hope this will help others.
