2014 e class, iPhone 12 won't connect via lighting MMI OEM cable anymore
For years, any iteration of iPhone, including my most current iPhone 12, would simply connect to the lightning cable MMI, OEM and I would be able to completely control my iPhone and media via the command system. I started the car and it was working just fine today and when I got back from The store and started my car again. The cable no longer recognized my phone, it would not charge my phone and my phone would only connect to benz Bluetooth. The USB port, which I never use other than to charge, discharges, is the lighting port no problem.
the Bluetooth OEM music and phone system work just fine.
I reset command by holding down the on button for 10 seconds, and this did not help.
I turned the car on and off several times this did not help.
i hard reset my iPhone - no dice
I tried my phone in two other non Benz vehicles and the lighting cables in those cars work fine and offer full connectivity with the multimedia interface in those cars
Do you think I need a new adapter, specifically a000827-1200? I reseated all cables to no avail.

COMAND issue
Peter, what does your scanner report shows?
You have done above and beyond preliminary troubleshooting - Fir some reason the multimedia interface ignores your iphone

Fast COMAND boot performance....

A lot of reports deal with crazy Comand ending up in boot loops.... I've fixed my solderless rotary control knob module then after that event got fast booting! I was so used to a slow boot time then I got it fast I was surprised. The sound came through really early on at ignition time way before display module continued its Yoga.
