Shock absorber need's replacement?

Gents!

MB 350 CDI wagon 2011, airmatic.

My mechanic tells me, that both front shock absorbers should be replaced. Both air bellows have just been replaced, but the shock absorbers may be bad.

When you brake hard, the front end of the car stands and moves up and down, 2-3 times before it stabilizes itself.

There are no errors on the system, the car moves up and down, switching between comfort and AMG sport mode works fine.

Does my mechanic have a point ?

That is like zero damping. So yes your shock absorber ( damper ) is bye bye

More than one bounce on any of the 4 corners of the vehicle indicate a shock that is no longer doing its job. You said that your air bellows have been replaced...curious... do you have airmatic on the front of the vehicle?

Unfortunately it's seems to be the topic.... Yes my car is equipped with airmatic in all 4 corners. And we have just replaced the front air bladders.
