276 oil leak
snapped a quick pic. didnt have time to really look i was in a bit of a hurry:
it seems to be as high as up as the front of the valve cover- cam solenoid area.
did a quick search and those cam solenoids/front cover seem to be a very common leak area. any other common leak points i should be looking at?
I'm also thinking if I pull the covers to reseal, i must just replace the timing chain tensioners. car is a 2014 so has the updated ones already, however i did read several places on the forum where these can wear out. car has almost 160k miles on it so might be good preventative maintenance?

The tensioners bearing-seal is short lived before it bleeds pump pressure to help cause startup rattle.
You can ignore the factory installed oil check-valves that are non-replaceable. They are fine.
