Integrate bluetooth to stock radio

Hello Mercedes fans.

I am writing here hoping to get some help with an issue.

I have a 2010 E250 that has the Audio 20 NTG 4 stock radio. This radio only has the bluetooth telephony but not the bluetooth audio. It also has the audio jack aux port, but not the MMI port.

I want to find a solution for me to be able to stream bluetooth from my phone and be able to both see the song info on the radio screen and also skip tracks/pause from steering controls or the center console control wheel.

I have tried the aux adapter. It does not let me skip and neither shows song info. An fm transmitter is also too poor in quality and it also shows no info.

I need another solution which allows these functions. I don't have an MMI port. (Maybe there is a way to retrofit one?). Another solution that I thought of is replacing the radio with a newer model. I'm not sure about the compatibility, though.

Anything that could help is greatly appreciated. I have read countless forum threads and seen many videos about this. If there's a thread I missed thay might help, please point it out to me.

Not sure if Road Top makes a CarPlay unit for your car, but you could start there. Also, you may want to post your question over on the audio forum.

Why not upgrade your audio system? Crutchfield likely has several options that will fit and deliver many capabilities your OE system lacks.

Have you tried to see if the engineering mode on your model has the Bluetooth on toggle in the secret settings?

Thanks for the answer. I'm looking for an oem solution. As i am aware, carplay is aftermarket, right?
(I will also post on the audio forum thanks for pointing it out)

It actually does have the option. When i activate it, it does nothing and the option deactivates itself when i turn the radio off and on again. So most likely it doesnt have bluetooth audio on its hardware.
