I just programmed it myself and its working now! It says the NAV is outdated but I think that I can update it with a few CDs. I was also able to fix the air conditioner issue by just taking off the flap motors testing them to make sure they work and then installing and calibrating them.

I wanted to thank everyone for your help!

Congrats for these achievements

It's strange you had no issue with mismatched VIN or the wrong immobilizer PIN?

Originally the heaudnit was in anti-theft mode but I was able to get a pin and programmed it through the laptop.

Can you share more detail here please as to the procedure to program it and how you got the PIN

Did you manage to swap out the HDD for the SSD ?

Sorry for not seeing this earlier.

I got the pin off of ebay (Mercedes Anti Theft Code COMAND W176 W212 W246 W216 W172 W204 W221 W207 W231 | eBay) I also saw there was another forum where a guy was offering to give out the code for free but he didn't respond this week, so I decided to buy it off that guy. All I had to do was send him the S/N for the new unit and he replied with the code. From there I used Vediamo 4 with passthrough and followed this video (
). I didn't touch the HDD because I was scared, I might break the new HU, after I got the first replacement HU from a 2013 e350 from a salvage yard I tried swapping out the whole front trim but while it was in the car I noticed it didn't sit flush with the dash so I pushed the trim more thinking it just hadn't clicked but little did I know that they had totally redesigned board so when I pushed the connectors into place they broke and the unit started smoking. I wasn't able to fix that unit even after taking both units apart and tried swapping parts between the two in hopes of making one work, unfortuantely all my attempts were met with different parts of the HU smoking. After that disappointment I had to bought another HU off of ebay from a CLS550 and that seems to work for now.
