2010 E550 airmatic
New member

New here, about 1 year ago purchased a 2010 E550, one owner, 78k miles. I’ve had the driver side air strut replaced, no issues so far on the passenger side. Saving up for it though.
Car has the seat massage option, my drivers seat constantly makes a squeaking noise, I’m not sure if it’s from the massage module or seatbelt tensioner relayed, anyone have the issue?

marshmellowride,

Nice car.
for my SL, even on comfort setting, there is no way possible to describe it as a soft ride. You feel every bump.
Welcome to the forum.
Glad to have you in MBWorld.

I think it's best to replace shocks and struts in pairs so that the weakness of the remaining old shock does not prematurely wear on the new shock/strut. I know that engine mounts are replaced in pairs per the WIS.

Now, by squeaking, when does it happen? Are you sitting in the driver seat? You may need to take the car to a Mercedes specialist for diagnosis. Try www.benzshops.com to find an independent near you.

Squeaky seat

It happens while I’m sitting in it, if I adjust myself. I’m short so when I wear certain shoes I have to readjust my seat, love the memory settings! I tried to wedge a cloth in between the massage control and console without much success.
im just worried that it’s coming from seatbelt tensioner at this point. I’ll certainly ask the independent.

As long as the controls are working, I'd not worry about it. The driver's seat in my 2015 SL400 will squeak a little when moving it forward to access the rear area. If you are worried about it, get a Mercedes scanner, such as the LAUNCH Creader Elite 2.0 BENZ (check Amazon) and scan for seat codes. You can also use it to recalibrate the seat controls. If the seat is binding or there are other problems, the calibration will abort and you'll get an error code.
