E250 Facelift 2013
Co driver/ passenger ORVM Puddle light.

Hi all,
My E250 2014 Passenger side ORVM puddle light sometimes work and sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes when it doesn’t work I give the ORVM some taps and it works.
What could be the problem? If it’s the bulb can someone share the part number.

Dont use the original 5 watts version of the bulb, use 3.4 watts from Honda. If door open too long and often, the bulb reflector housing will be burnt.

Buy and use this one : https://www.hondapartsnow.com/genuin...8-ga7-701.html

See how much cooler is the 3.4 watts version

.

Oops, you are speaking of MIRROR and not the door. Dang. Sorry.
But this is good info for the door and if the mirror also uses 5 watts incand bulb, you swap it for 3.4watts one.

It is the same 5 watts as the door puddle light. Even on mine, as per EPC. Item #35

.
If I do same teardown like below, I guarantee some of the plastic will crack , my fingers are not good with fragile plastic locking tabs
