The car steering is best kept in 100% reliable condition.
I highly doubt you'll find this as spare part... you're looking at a remanufactured rack.

Problem is I doubt the tubing comes with the rack knowing mercedes. Kind of like getting brake lines with a brake caliper. Gonna have to find the part number for the lines and see from there. If in US probably have to get them made or pay out for %1000 markup. I did see the racks atleast for my car for $1000 reman, $3200 new.

Always possibility if normal hydraulic lines of getting it made. Generally thats a easy process especially if in possession of the old ones.

These hydraulic lines are integral part of the rack sub-component.

Looking at the position, these lines send oil to either side of the ram from the rack valve itself.

Fixing steering can have perilous outcomes. Only one chance to get it right the 1st time.
🤞

So the rack comes with those lines preinstalled?

yes: 110% sure ✌️

The two separate chassis lines are the incoming pressure line from pump and return back to tank.

Thank God for electric steering....

Thats good to know, the lines didnt show up on the diagrams from MB parts suppliers. Do you guys know what type of connector they have for the rack itself? Have not delved into that part of my car yet.

I think this is a tapered cone to positively seal.

My previous car had a steering pump. Best way not to deal with rack replacement is to keep fresh clean steering oil .... 10mn service using fluid extractor.
