the clean oil color says FRESH!
I hear no worned out VVT rattling...

Now if you will close that oil cap and tell us what service was done someone will help you stay ahead of troubles.

Chain tensioners, check valves, and spark plugs. That's it! Noise disappears after a couple minutes. Thanks Cali!

Now, that more complete account makes sense.

Here's what I think is going on after starting your engine:

- The engine oil galleries are full of air and mostly without oil.

-- Your HP fuel pump is no longer operating smoothly.

-- That is causing strain on Bank1 VVT gear and tensioner under low pressure conditions at start up and driving below 3500.Rpm. This standard experience is recognized to save gasoline by reducing oil friction while increasing wear.

-- Consider using MB 229.5 Approved oil with more viscosity such as a 5W40.

-- This should help by...:
  • not draining out so rapidly
  • lubricating fuel pump better
  • building up pressure faster
  • Not shearing into lower w30 grade
