W212 E220 Gearbox Conductor Plate
When we change W212 E220 gearbox, can we use the original conductor plate coded from the old gearbox in the new gearbox or the new one has to be coded to the car ?
The new gearbox is in “PRE-SAFE” mode.

Don’t know if you got it done already, but i just did the replacement of the gearbox in my 2015 E400. With the conductor plate and valve body of the “new” transmission the car did not run, swapped them with the old transmission and it ran with no codes, and no reprogramming was needed

What did half the job accomplish ???
You've got a replacement gearbox (new/used) paired with old valve body and controller module.
The old clutches plugged the valve strainers with friction and loose steel particles.
The better way is to install clean/new control plate and adapt it once.

New tranny needs to be SCN'ed to work with your chassis VIN (other ways may work but not exactly in your favor).
