Question S212 Fitment Help

I just bought this beautiful 2016 S212 E350 with 50,000 on it. I am loving it so far and need some wheel and tire advice. I live in Utah and will put some snow tires on these stock AMG wheels. The stock wheel is an 18x8.5 ET 46. I was curious if I could fit a 255/45/18 tire for the snow. I had issues with snow getting stuck in my wheel well with my last car due to too small of a gap between the tire and the wheel well, so I definitely don't want that again. I'm also looking to get another set of wheels for the summer. I was interested in an 18x8.5 ET 35. With that offset, would a 255/45/18 fit? I don't want any rubbing, but would love for everything to be a bit more filled out. I would love any advice or personal experience!

Greetings from another MY2016 S212 owner :-). Since we experience at least 6 months of snow-covered roads where I live, I actually run slightly skinnier wheels and tires in winter; 235/40R18 on 18x8 AMG 5-spokes. Going wider will reduce your traction.
