Lost communication with Bluetooth phone connection module

I believe this error is the culprit for the no audio issue in my Mercedes, I am having trouble finding the location of the module so I can replace it, the part number I found for it was A2044460159. Everything else on the display works as it should and the only issue is the no audio. If anyone can help me with this I’d appreciate it a ton

It sounds like you have identified BT as the source of your issue - Can you open up that moduke to witness how the connector lins are soldered or left loose to cause this failure ?

I’ve been attempting to find the Bluetooth control module but I have not had any luck locating it.

I’ve been looking online trying to find its location yet there is not a single post or video about this particular module online, I checked the left side of the trunk where the amplifier is located but did not find anything. I have not looked at the glovebox area yet, would it be there? If all else fails I’ll go to the dealer even though they’ll charge me a arm and a leg for a fix

that's where the "media interface" module is located - I believe BT got integrated on-board NTG4.5 COMAND head.

I see. I just checked my head unit and it appears to be a NTG4.0 thankfully , the BT should be separate from the head unit which is a huge relief.

as of yesterday night the audio in my car has returned, I got used to not having any audio since it had been out for weeks now, so coming back to a H&K system with Bluetooth connectivity is very enjoyable. Not sure what happened but I hope it stays like this.

GHOST...

Nice to hear that your tunes are back on playing

Thankfully it's not your Ignition switch that's ghosting.

Does your head unit start up normally or just hangs when it stays silent - A lot of ppl face the "bad boot" issue. I wonder if BT module is causing that...

Yeah, everything else with the head unit and display worked as it should which makes it even more confusing. The weather has cooled down a bit where I’m at so that might have something to do with it.

Goood point here woth the clues you supply!!

the display and headunit use a dedicated blower fan with filter located on the side near upper glovebox area.

Given enough time and dust no air output impedes proper cooling.

Lucky this is still working afterwards!
