P227906
Have a high mileage (chauffeur)
e250cdi (om651) which went into soft limp mode about 2 months ago.
First scan threw maf fault P010162 and gearbox auxiliary pump fault P0C1C13, maf cleaned and gearbox pump replaced. CAR STILL IN LIMP MODE.
Second scan threw MAF and P0c1c13 check component Y58/15, Both maf and secondary sensor replaced. codes cleared. STILL IN LIMP MODE
Third scan threw P227906 air leak detected and P0C1C13 again, mechs couldn't locate any obvious leaks so made the call to replace inlet manifold.
Fitted manifold with new seals to parts that needed to be removed inc EGR but when scanned after completion P227906 was still there and car still in soft limp mode.
At the end of my tether trying to fix this air leak, the y58/15 was there for the first 2 scans but cleared after manifold replacement.
Have sent the car to another mech to throw some fresh eyes at the problem but can anyone offer any suggestions as to where else the cause may be?
Cheers

MAF and intake plenum were replaced with various tranny parts.
Now the transmission shop wants to rebuild tranny.
The transmission can not shift properly while the engine has poor throttle control. I would not rush the $5k tranny job with mixed causes.
This is more complicated than it should be. Do yourself a favor... buy a Launch MB Creader Elite scanner to get a complete chassis report.
Let's try to help you figure what's causing your limp mode. Scanner will provide useful codes descriptions to help us help you.
+++ PLAN B:
Find a MB specialist to repair your car, not a random shop.

So, what is common between these all…the Central Gateway (CGW).
I had this happen with my S550. All sorts of errors but none of them saying anything about the CGW.
BenzNinja pointed me to the right direction. I found the bad connection with no solder. I soldered them and no problems since.
I don’t know how E-class CGW module is but I would check it out.
