I have this 2016 E350 that had its headlights converted to the multibeam headlights. I don't know why but they seem dim. Here is 2 photos and a video
NOTE: The photo and the video are brighter than the actual brightness of the headlights, the actual brightness of the headlights is lower. Please any advice / help. The car is a US Spec car and the headlights fitted are Japanese right hand drive headlights. That is why the beam feels mirrored. Also note that the headlights are a dimmer than what is in the video.
For the video, it is available here: https://www.threads.net/@kareem_abdo..._OhHuBXc?hl=en

01. Is the conversion using an aftermarket headlight or Mercedes original ?
02. There is no MULTIBEAM headlight for W212 if original from Mercedes, only W213 get that advance unit. We W212 get only ILS code 640/641/642 LED as best option.
03. Since headlight brightness is a relative term, measure your headlight using this : Get the BT version, aka BLUE TOOTH, so it can log using Tablet/Smartphone. https://meters.uni-trend.com/product/ut383-ut383bt/ super cheap device.
You must test from 3.1 meters too, like I did. We then can compare. Mine is a 641 LED.
.
.
This is a 641 Dynamic Headlight as per data card, right hand drive is 641, 642 is left hand drive. People call it ILS LED. Intelligent Lighting System.
Do I find my 641 low beam headlight bright enough ? No, not bad but not great.
Do I find my High Beam good ? Hell no, it is VERY POOR.
Here is my low beam stock headlight if using cellphone camera , Samsung S10e
If using Starvis 2 sensor DashCam, Viofo A119 Mini 2

Reason: typo
So, i want more data from others. In us or europe. What is the output of your headlights? Becaus eit seems that w212 ils headlights are dim and weak. Also if anyone has a w212 facelift that is equipped with the regular headlights if he can also share some data.

Hellooo , thanks for your reply. As you said my headlights are the exact ones like yours, same beam and yes they are w212 original mercedes. My headlight output is the same as yours with the footage of the dashcam. The footage of your dashcam is the most releastic output, my headlights has the same output as yours. But do you think it should be like that? I mean i think the xenon headlights of the pre facelift w212 is more brighter.
Here are some pictures The car after the installation The headlights ( original headlights [Used but in clean condition]) The Programming The beam option

No need to compare to any LED 641/642. All are not bright enough, more so for High beam...PERIOD.
There is a legal matters in many countries as to how many candela at what distance a standard light can have.
Thus me add more lights , because no legal issue for me.

Well that is very bad. Because like you said, and i said, and the previous replier said. The headlight output is super dim in a way that it is even not worth its price to be very honest. I did not expect them to be like that when i converted to them
Well, its not bad actually the 641/642 for city driving. Compare it to standard headlight of 2013 to 2016 other cars , its not the lowest, it is middle up.
Ionic 5 Hyundai lights is worse than our 641/642.

So it is against what is being said. LED headlights are S**t compared to their xenon predecessors. Specially with the w212 ils because i am super disappointed with their performance. Paid 1,600$ for both and i wish that i did not do the upgrade.
Yes, my xenon's in my pre-facelift are way, way better than my son's 2015 with lighting package, I don't believe he has cornering lamps either. It's also my limited understanding that if the car was originally programed for right hand traffic and you switch it to left hand on the dash, some features are not active, you have to reprogram the car for left hand traffic primary to get them all.

Hey Kareem, besides swapping the 2 sides with the ILS type, did you do any programming/version coding? I'm wondering it that's needed or even if it's possible?

Helloo, yes, programming had to be done in order to activate intelligent headlights feature such as corner illumination and when the light turns with the steering.
