VVT cam adjuster and chain type, earlier M276.9xx 3.5NA owners read this !!

I was looking at what is the difference between M276.8xx 3.0 Turbo and M276.9xx 3.5NA VVT ( cam adjuster )
I found something odd and I realized there are two types of timing chain if for M276.9xx 3.5NA , older and newer one.
So you guys who has older or gen1 M276 which is to beGUARANTEED will have VVT knocking sooner or later at high mileage, do becareful and use your engine number to make sure you buy the correct VVT.
Due to the difference of chain used by later model M276.9 3.5NA which is the same newer chain as used by M276.8 3.0 Turbo, the actual difference is the teeth design on the sprockets.
Using wrong teeth type ( wronng VVT ) to an un-suitable chain, will not only make more noise but also the teeth on the VVT ( sprocket ) will get worn out much faster.
Take a look below : In blue text for M276.9xx 3.5NA is where the VVT is for newer chain and the VVT P/N is then the same as 3.0 Turbo .
.
So even the idler gear item 150 is different for older chain and so is the short oil pump timing chain item 220.
Older stype VVT due to old chainVVT INTAKE LEFT.
A276 050 10 47 Version 1
Version 1 replaced by A276 050 15 47 version 2
.
To be certain, inspect your chain first.
This is my chain M276.820 3.0 Turbo, the newer version and is the same as M276.9xx engine number ----30129268 and up
.
.
.
.
So , all of you who have recently replaced your VVT (cam adjuster ), check its part number and your engine number and chain variant.
See if you got F-ded by seller or you made the mistake yourself.
Good luck boys.
