Hey all! First time post here. Previously owned some W123 cars, been on the hunt for a decent w123 wagon but came across the w212 wagons and thought they were pretty nice and well built so I got one.
Anyway mine has the stock stereo in it. I've never been much of a car stereo guy but I know my way around a lot of stuff, so I thought I'd try this upgrade.
Questions:
- I've read about some "plug and play systems" for the w212 stereo, are those kinds of setups still available?
- Where is the stock amp on a 2011 wagon?
- I'm considering leaving the stock speakers, adding an amp and a spare tire sub. Good idea or totally dumb? I read somewhere on here that the stock speakers are actually decent, they just lack power.
Thanks in advance!

Keep some of your busget to beef up the existing power supply.
Namely the alternator + GND strap.
FYI... Chassis computers network is made unstable by voltage riples.
High power audio: gremlins nursery.
