S212 E350 airmatic malfunction ride height

Hi I have a 2012 e350 estate with airmatic suspension. For the last 6 weeks or so I have been getting a ride height malfunction light followed by the red pull over and stop red light. Once I stop turn off the car and restart again it's fine for x amount of miles. But then returns. There doesn't seem to be any set time

it just happens. If I raise the vehicle suspension then drive it's OK no warning light until it drops back down once you go over a certain speed. Originally on Xentry it told me it was the right hand front sensor out of tolerance above the permissible limit. So I changed that sensor and recalibrated the suspension all was fine for a few 20 minute trips but a longer trip 70 miles or so it came back and now it's back to it's every 10 minutes or so.
Anyway read car yesterday got the messages below now saying both sensors below the permissible level. I've tried recalibration again but not 100% sure of the values for the steering angle. Just put in -1.5 for all after making sure ride height was all in the green. When I test compressor on xentry it passes tests. Sensor values are all roughly the same in the middle of the range. I'm at a loss would it be best to get the wiring tested...or does anyone have any knowledge of this problem. Sorry for essay cheers Steve

I can't help, but I'll be following. I need to brush up on the system. Hopefully soon I get the time to dive into my own Airmatic issues...

Xentry is such a complete factory tool with its guided troubleshooting ....

Airmatic comes with a few standard issues.

14Bar pressure is over 200Psi: you can't have any small slow leaks!

AirMatic does not mesure "bag pressure" but target "ride height".
Instead of calling "air leak" it calls for "height issue" which does not directly mean "rusted sensor" once they've been renewed.

-- I'd focus on soapy spray test at hose connections on the related corner.

-- Can you rule out related sensor as reliable?

Preserve the compressor from overworking...
It gets too hot and pumps in H2-O condensation that rust steel valves and freezes bags in winter.
That's why small leaks need timely attention. Desiccant deserves service too.

hi thanks for the reply...should have said psi not bar...stupid mistake. Well I was all set to buy a cheap compressor of Ebay but just looking back through service history the car had a new compressor and valve block 2.5 years ago only done about 13k miles since then. Also had the rear bags done and axle replaced.
I finally clicked that it might not be a bad sensor as if the bags lose to much pressure the sensor will be sending a signal which will show a malfunction as it will be out of range...voltage wise. It's a strange one. I drove the car yesterday with the laptop plugged in with xentry on for 50 minutes and the light didn't come on once.
I think it may be a leak from the front shock but can't find anything obvious. Car hasn't dropped yet...been 24 hours. Will keep you updated. Will have to wait for the weekend now. Have to take the gator of the shock to properly test
thanks again Steve

No worries Xentry is referencing pressure in Bars...
European pressure in Bar (not Psi)
European pressure in Bar (not Psi)

All the usual maintenance parts have already been replaced... great!

Now it looks like you're off to soapy buble leak test on one corner.
