Front Emblem removal with Distronic + (camera install)
I searched an infinite amount on YT and here and could not find anything definitive on how to remove the front emblem (the smooth star). Most YT videos recommended that you twist the emblem counter (anti) clockwise but that didn't work (even with a commercial grade suction cup). I finally got the hint by watching sections of this video (
where the guy switched from non-Distronic to Distronic cover).
Instead of twisting, I pried three points on the emblem with a pry tool (carefully of course) to release the tabs. Again, the tabs line up with the star so just carefully insert the pry tool in that location and it will disengage with the inner tab.
