Unhappy e350 Front seat cover

I’ve spent nearly $13K this year on certified service for my 2011 E350 at Mercedes-Benz of New London CT, now facing a split seat seam—a known issue among MB-Tex interiors. I’ve reached out for a goodwill repair but haven’t heard back. Hoping @MercedesBenzUSA or the dealer can help resolve this fairly. What do you all think?

I hope they come thru especially that you'd spent $$$ at that dealership. I had the same issue and I took it to an upholstery shop that charged me $300. If you end up having to pay for it yourself, make sure the shop doesn't disturb the heating element in the seat.

I bought a replacement cover from FCP Euro for a couple hundered bucks and had it installed by an uhpulstry shop. The old cover had significant wear on the bolster as well.

See my thread posted today in this forum about using Richmond Auto Upholstery and replacing the seat bottom cover on my 2011 S212. If you're handy and have the required tools, it is a straight forward repair. I replaced the MB Tex with leather and it was spot on with the color match to the original MB Tex. My cost also included replacing the seat heater elements which I ordered oem from an online MB parts dealer because they were compromised from the tear and inoperative. All in with the leather seat cover and oem heating elements my cost was @$600.

Tom Connell, Do what brentif did. FCP is loacted in Milford, CT and are good people to deal with. I'm from CT also and buy all my Benz stuff from them. You should be able to find a quality local shop that will install a new cover. Purchase the new cover with the heating element included. This will ensure the heater will work after the install.
