I just finished replacing the driver's seat cover for the center seam tear which is a known problem in our vehicles with MB Tex seating surfaces. The first time I experienced this problem was in 2017 but the my vehicle was covered by warranty under a PO's extended warranty coverage. It reared its head again this year with the warrantied seat cover splitting at the same location.
I did research online and saw several positive reviews of Richmond Auto Upholstery with vehicle owners ordering the leather seat cover in place of refitting the MB Tex for added durability. With the tear in my seat, my seat heating elements were also compromised and no longer working so I had to order the seat heating side and center elements from an online MB dealer.
