Dashboard stopped functioning

So, I had my 2011 E-550 at a Mercedes dealership in Gainesville, Florida for a month and a half to get a radio repaired. They charged me a bunch of money and the radio still doesn't work. The delivery driver was bringing it back to me when he called and said the dashboard was not functioning. He brought it back to the shop and they called and verified the dashboard does not work but it isn't connected to the non functioning radio or the command button they replaced.

Radio doesn't work, command button does nothing, no dashboard, no cruise control, no automatic headlights, no gas gauge or fuel gauge. Worse yet, I had to drive it 100 miles to get on a flight for my sister's funeral.

Anyone have any idea what to chase since Mercedes is about useless?

Not a month ago Gainesville did the warranty replacement of an airbag in my car. The damn thing has not been able to hold a charge since and I frankly have been too busy to go around worrying about it.

couple of years ago they had one of my other cars in for service they were in an accident in the car sent it to the paint shop and tried to hide the entire situation but for the massive amount of sanding dust that was inside the car and all over the place. That dealership is terrible.

to get a real fix I would bring it to Tucker Motorsports in ocala. They're a little bit on the north side of town right off of 25th avenue.

Sorry to read about your recent lose.

The faster step one may take is to simply reboot the unstable chassis back to sanity.
How many batteries on your year-model: single/double??

This issue is very likely one of the half-dozen factory-painted GND Post in the front footwells.

You will need to use a scanner to review CAN-B Modules disruptions.

Do NOT start pulling fuses for a lucky-one... this will endup as a battery flat set of batteries.

This will be a great car once this common nightmare is resolved.

Thanks for the information. That is great to hear, since I live on the northeast side of Ocala, not far from there and had no idea about this company.

Thanks for the information. I have two batteries, one main and one small one in the dash. Is that what you mean?

Yes. You have two batteries supplying 12.5 Volts power + backup.
Personally I am not familiar with cars that have the small in-dash AUX Batt. They may require a bit more reset work after being disconnected for reboot. (clock, radio code, memory of sunroof, seats, windows,...).

One thing that's always true is it will take more time than anticipated to test results.

Always keep battery well charged up. Chassis modules are sensitive to marginal voltage.

I live on the northeast side of Ocala,.
He is right up 25th before the railroad tracks. There are few of us neighbors who live in the historic district that have multiple Mercedes vehicles and in general everybody in town goes to Will and Steve.

One neighbor has 3 E550 and a GLE63.
