chugging noise in 2015 Mercedes e400.
65k miles, doesn't get driven much but seemed fine last time I did.
Battery just replaced & had its 60k transmission service last year. No lights on the dash.
Pretty sure its not supposed to sound like that. Sounds like its coming from the belt but not sure.

Yeah it sounds like it’s related to the serpentine belt. Probably a pulley with a failing bearing

A wobbling idler pulley on its loose mount right after the A/C compressor.
Check every accessory pulley for loose bearings:
