Cdi running weird ?
Hi all, ive previously had another low mile 2.1 cdi & my son has the same engine, it starts fine no smoke etc while running, seems fine up-to 2,500 rpm but the higher the rpm the more it feels like its running uneven, engines not shaking nor nothing underneath (all covers removed) g/box area doesn’t shake if you have your hand on it from underneath when revved, this rough running feeling is felt in the drivers seat & it sounds uneven but looking into the engine bay the engine doesn't seem to shake ?, I'm a decent diy mechanic but this has me head scratching , my old car & my sons didn't have the fuel update but id say this 1 has as its been to merc for rear subframe & air bag recall so I'm presuming they did it ( prior to me getting it) any help much appreciated thanks. 2010 e200 2.1 cdi auto 136 bhp 63,800 miles.

Can you read the OBD2 fuel rail pressure to see its not fuel starved with dirty filter ?
Beyond that there's a dirty exhaust back pressure sensor in your near future.
I would read the Sprinter forum for more Diesel tips.
As always keep your diesel oil service intervals shorter than specs.
60kMi is fairly early call for low power...
