How to disable "dont forget your key" warning? W212

I have a 2015 e400 sedan w212 facelift. IC204. I have vediamo, xentry, DTS.

is there a way to disable the "dont forget your key" warning that pops up on the IC? I find it really annoying and ugly. It would be nice if i could just disable it with vediamo but im not sure its that simple?

Is there a simple way to make it display the AMG logo on startup? My car has all of the AMG styling and i think it would look nicer than the random car photo they display on the regular e class. Im not super interested in the AMG menu, just the logo on startup. Can this be set with easy variant coding in vediamo?

All of these variant options are aimed at the IC-Display module.

It is definitely a fun module to work with because results are immediate. AAC air-con settings as well.

I've used Launch scanner to tweak the driver Display to my liking. Is Vediamo interface still in German only ??

Excuse me but what's wrong with that message ? A newer Audi has a pop up message " Don't Forget your phone " I find them useful but probably seeing it a few times a day could be well boring as well lol

As for the AMG , Benz Ninja or replacing your gauge cluster to real AMG one , but the latter would be not worth it

Its kind of retarded that the car tells me not to forget the key every single time i open the door. The entire point of keyless go is so that the key doesn't have to come out of your pocket. At no point is the key leaving my pocket but the car still has to give me an angry German beep every time I open the door. Its just weird to see on a car.

I've already activated ILS and disabled the seatbelt warning using vediamo and am now thinking of other things to mess with.

Yes the codings are in german. Thats why im asking for help here. Im sure its possible but I don't know exactly what I'm doing and don't want to risk bricking a module.

i put my vin into MBtools which is just user friendly codings behind a paywall, and it says my car is compatible with the AMG IC coding. I have module IC204, the full color display. Its possible to enable it on this cluster, I just don't know if it's as easy as changing some options in vediamo?

Now if the car door would not unlock until you had to push a button in acknowledgment of the "don't forget your key" warning, I'd want to disable it too, but I find much of this useless IC enunciation clutter easy enough to just ignore.

It's truly a DUMB and irritating warning, probably from the days when drivers locked their key inside car. Car will not lock if key is inside, why that antiquated message is still there? I'd love to see it gone and I'm waiting for a solution.

My G will lock if one key is left inside. I thought I had a fix identified, but it needs further refinement.

Working with unsupported Vediamo is a tall order to get results without bricking anything... some ppl can do it!

The warning becomes so frequent that you start to ignore it, defeating the entire purpose of the warning.

I trust my vediamo enough. I fully programmed ILS on an US car with it. Actually a lot of the IC codings can be done in xentry alone under the "author data" tab.

The key warning appears to be tied to US coding. I coded my CLS to EU region with Vediamo and the warning disappeared. The car is currently apart, so I can’t provide a detailed list of the exact coding changes right now, but switching the region coding in that direction would be where I’d start looking.

if you could update me on what exactly needs to be changed that would be great.

For starters you could try coding " --- Ländercode Remain of world (RoW) 09YN" in CGW_212 under VCD_02_global_variant_coding

Also, if you're looking for an easy-to-use software for coding, you might want to check out https://github.com/jglim/CaesarSuite. Load CBF files relevant to your car and familiarize yourself with coding possibilities. No rocket science there. If you don't read German, you can use ChatGPT to translate the "fragment" strings for you. Just make sure to make backups so you can revert your coding. BTW, CaesarSuite also has a built-in unlocker for some ECUs.

Also, the easiest way to enable the AMG menu and the AMG startup logo in the IC would be using https://mbtools.com. Costs a little money, but it's really easy to use if you're new to all of this. They will provide you with software and it's just as easy as a few clicks.
