ball joint and front hub bearings replacement

I need to have the ball joint and front hub bearings on my 2014 replaced. How much shall i budget for such a job and can any independent mechanic shop do this for me or should i head to the dealership for this work?

Yes, go to your Mercedes Indy. Save the dealer for advanced repairs.

Replace control arms also and stabilizer links.
Note there are two front ball-joints per side.

Why are you replacing the front bearings, why not take 10mn to adjust the freeplay ?
Budget from $500 to $1500 or less than $2k according to the extent of repairs.

Thanks for the response. Replacing because there is a very loud rubbing noise coming from the front wheels. A MB technician drove it and indicated that the ball joints and hub bearings was the issue and needed to be replaced.

I've done this mod on my '22 GLB, it's a pretty straightforward process, just make sure to grab the right tools and a bearing separator will save you a headache with the front hub bearings.

Yes, that makes sense for a bad wheel bearing + BJ for deep pothole or curb contact.
Check the strut itself is not bent by weighing down on the suspension.
