The AUX input can be toggled On/Off using the COMAND "engineering" menu.

The menu is opened by pressing a combination keys press. This is used by ppl who install an Android head module to stream audio into COMAND.

Searching YT for "COMAND ENGINEERING MENU" should return solution.

Thanks CaliBenz, I appreciate your support. I’m wondering if my settings are all correct, is there a way to physically determine if the port is working correctly?

Have a great evening

The only sure way to test is:
-- can you hear audio pumped through AUX Input ?

If not AUX input is not selected or NTG sound is muted.

What are you trying to setup that use AUX input??

If you have a portable mp3 player , you can test it easily .If you can hear the music after plugging it in then no problem but make sure you choose AUX in the Audio section

I purchased a NaviRider android touchscreen that replaces the original one in the car. Everything seems to be working except there isn’t any sound playing through the speakers. The unit runs through the aux connection in the center console to a plug on the new wiring harness.

I believe that is connected correctly, and I think the settings in the Benz engineering settings have been adjusted to activate the aux port as an audio option, but no sound plays. I do hear an audible pop when connecting the Benz aux connector to the port in the center console, which kind of makes me think it is working. Your thoughts my friend

You are almost done with your instal!!

You need to test what is stopping your audio out:
  1. the stock NTG AUX input
  2. the new unit output

Once you know AUX Input is active,
then you can focus on the new module only.

Thank you for the idea, I just ordered a USB-C to 3.5audio adapter and i think that will allow me to test the port with my iPhone! Can’t thank you enough

Man, I’m so frustrated I’m not sure what to do next! I purchased a USB-C to 3.5mm audio adapter, connected that to my iPhone and connected that to the cable on the Aux port; and still no audio. However, when I make that connection to the Aux cable I get static audio through the car speakers. Does the indicate that the Aux port is working… and that the issue is either with the new wiring harness or Android device?????

I think , there's some adaptation problem with your set up. I don't think iphone would work seamlessly with any Android device . Let me tell you a story about it shortly . One guy wanted to send my a picture from his i -phone to my Android phone . He could not be able to do it , just a simple transfer ended up a total failure
