2018 Honda 2.0T vs. 2013 E350

I currently own a 2018 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T. I’ve owned it for about four years now and it has 88k miles on the dash, car is paid off. However I recently found a 2013 Mercedes E350 with sub 30k miles, and curious if it would be worth making the transition over and essentially swapping my car with the owner so there’s no financing or paying cash.

For some backstory, my first car was a 2010 Mercedes E350 that I got off of my father with 150K miles, and it lasted until 223K miles through my time as a broke college student, barely putting any money into it and it still lasted, so I’m familiar with the car and the W212 body.

I love the car, I love the way it drives, and I love how reliable it is, and I feel like this is a deal that I feel I need to thoroughly consider. Would it be worth it to go back five years for a car that has been serviced regularly and has a clean Carfax? Or am I jumping the gun because of nostalgia?

I should mention I understand it is a Mercedes at the end of the day, and whatever expenses come my way will be more expensive than the Honda. Not a problem there.

I came to the Mercedes 3.5L V6 from the ACURA 3.2L V6. Both brands use the best Bosch designs.

Japanese are not cheap copies... quite the opposite ! They are the more mature version of what Germans designed just couple years prior. Very reliable from the best genuine parts grade.

Trading up a Honda for MB has pros and cons. The bottom line is will you enjoy the Mercedes cost of ownership??

You already know a Mercedes-Benz is , and for that particular car it's a dream of many picking up an extremely low mileage car regardless of brand .
I would say go fir it but I would not jump on it if it lacks some equipment or P2 Package

THANK YOU. For your response, but also for being the first person that’s agreed with me that Japanese cars are not cheap copies. I’m getting to the age of this car where head gaskets (although rare on this engine) start to blow. Not looking for that, and prior maintenance on my 2.0 was not cheap.

Yes, I do believe that the cost of owning a Mercedes is manageable. I was able to do so with my prior 350 at200k+ miles as a broke college student without entirely breaking the bank, and now being older with stability it won’t be an issue.
