Why do they (seems to be the young ones) keep asking the same questions over and over again when they have already been given the information as to how to do the job.

To be fair these kids have had Auto class removed from their high school curriculum so this is the first time they're encountering all this unfamiliar terminology. This generation never grew up with cars like you did, and they're drowning in the deep end with these complicated, modern machines.
