Long scratch on bumper - DrColorChip sufficient?
I have a long (1 inch) but tin scratch on the bumper of my 2016 E350 Wagon. Based on what I read here, I am planning to touch it up using DrColorChip. However, I am not sure if it will work with this particular scratch, since it's not a small one (1/16").
Anyone know if DrColorChip is sufficient of if there's another method sans reprinting the whole bumper?
Picture of the scratch is attached.

Can't really tell exactly what color paint that is, but I've used Dr. ColorChip on black paint before on my old W209 CLK and it worked well on some fairly large scratches and lots of rock chips on the hood. However, up close you will still notice the gash - the color inside will just be filled in and blend well with the paint. If you want it to look like-new you'll need to get it to a body shop.
I've heard that it doesn't work as well on metallic paints, but I can't attest to that.

Dr. Color chip will help hide it, but as money said you will notice it up close..give it a shot not a big money commitment...good luck
