2017 E300

saw that. actually suffers quite a bit compared to the C class. Interesting seeing as how this as 9 speeds and isn't that much heavier.

I think that the new testing standards are tighter in 2017. The GLC, which weighs in at a bit over 4,000 lbs has the same rating as the E300 with same engine and transmission. I find it difficult to believe that the mpg is the same for both in real world scenarios. My E550 averages 23.8 in combined city/highway (currently 54000 miles on it now), but the EPA rating is 20 (16 city, 24 highway).

i was getting 57 mpg on british motorway. i think i could get it above 60 easily.
and about 33 mpg in the city.

My 328d easily gets 53mpg (US,not Imperial) on Interstates that are at least somewhat hilly.If I were to drive the southern portion of Interstate 95 (the portion in South Carolina,Georgia and Florida,which is entirely at sea level) I'll wager that I could get 55+
