Multifunction Telephony (Option Code: 899)

Hi,

Is there anyone know what exactly Multifunction Telephony do besides wireless charging?

I found the official description:
NFC can also facilitate a rapid connection between the head unit and your mobile phone – simply by touching the touchpoints on the "NFC" logo on the centre console. Phone calls can then be made via the Bluetooth® hands-free system.

What's the difference connecting cell phone to the vehicle by NFC vs Bluetooth?

I am really confused and wonder if this option worth to add.

Thanks

Can't say for sure, but NFC is usually used to help pair bluetooth. it sends the pairing info to allow you to just tap it to pair without having to enter the pin and approve all that junk. At least thats how every other device i've ever used that had NFC and bluetooth combined.
