What is option PAF (acoustic comfort)
Does anyone have a good description of E300 option PAF (acoustic comfort)?
Dealer Order Guide shows it as 'increased insulation' and 'windshield and side windows with acoustic and heat absorbing membrane'. MBUSA configurator says it includes heavier rear carpet and infrared laminated glass.
Is this option effective, or am I paying for window tinting and heavier floor mats??

2017 E300
A lot of more premium models feature laminated glass. It is not simply window tinting. It means dual layer glass for usually only the front windows. My Lexus RX450h has this. It's nice to know that its there, and Im sure engineers have conducted the relevant tests before they include it.

Salesman says the S class has infrared glass, but he wasn't really sure what the PAF option supplied.
I have Llumar clear UV protection on the windshield and sunroof of my E350 and it's fantastic. SIGNIFICANT reduction in heat coming through the windshield.
Hopefully this package is as good.
